Depending on God

How do you think of dependence? Does it bring to mind images of weakness or neediness, dependence on drugs or alcohol, or of abiding and trusting in God?

In John 15:5, Jesus says “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Apart from Him we can do nothing.

On Sunday 2nd August CLC will be meeting at the Good Shepherd in Arbury to worship God together and to delight in our need to depend on Him.

In a time where we are reflecting on the prophesy for the church about God dropping our anchor in order to prepare us well for what lies ahead, this time will be spent in worship; focussing on Him and our relationships with Him. It will be an opportunity to find joy in our weakness and for God to act in us, bringing us closer to Him and to who He created us to be.
