Children and Family

Go straight to children's work

God made families. He figured that the big melting pot of parents and siblings and children and grandparents would help us to live well, know Him better, leave our mark on the world, and have a lot of fun along the way. Families are God's way of doing life and becoming the people He created us to be. In fact God is a family in himself (but that's another story).

In CLC we celebrate family. Our church itself is one big family. We are about real friendships together, where there is fun, support, working through pain and difficulty with each other, and encouraging one another to keep on loving God.

Within the big group there are a number of biological families. Children and parents and brothers and sisters are important and special in the life of the church. We celebrate together the birth of a baby, and mourn together when someone is bereaved. Students love the opportunity to hang out in a family home for a change, which is why we run student lunches. Our teaching and resources aim to help people in family life as much as other ministries they are involved in.

When it comes to our meetings, every age group is equally important. As well as encouraging our children to join in, we've developed a children's programme just for them as part of a normal Sunday meeting.

This part reflects some of the family activity within CLC. Feel free to browse around, and contact Kevin for more information.
