church life

Rapport is a course designed to help people commit to City Life Church. If you’re new, it will assist you in deciding whether to make CLC your home. If you’ve been around a while but not yet done the course, it lets the church know that you want to cement your commitment.

Over a Friday night and Saturday daytime, you will be introduced or refreshed on the vision, values, distinctives of the church, as well as getting to know leaders and other course members better over dinner. You can ask questions, share ideas, and find out why commitment is so important and how to get involved further.

 Who is Rapport for?

People new to City Life Church

It’s like a first date with the church – you’ve seen it around, and now have the opportunity to see whether you want to take the relationship further.

City Lifers who have never done the course

We would like everybody in CLC to do Rapport regardless of how long they have been around. It will refresh you on what the church is all about, and we want to release you in your gifts even more.

Why do Rapport?

To find out what the church is really about

What CLC is like is determined far more by its core values than anything that you see in a meeting. Do you know what the vision of the church is – where it’s heading? Or why we believe that women can be in leadership, or have so many students?

To ask questions

As the church grows it is vital that you don’t get lost at the back somewhere, but have chances to ask questions and share your own vision.

To help you decide about committing to CLC

Which church you commit to (and whether you do) is one of the single most important influences on the direction your life will take.

To help you get more involved

What gifts do you have that can be released? What ways can you serve the vision of the church? This course helps us to know more about your vision, gifts and heart, so we can begin to involve you and release you more into them.

 How does it work?

Rapport runs for one Friday evening, followed by a daytime course on the Saturday.

On the Friday, you will be invited to a meal before some introductory sessions later in the evening. On the Saturday, there are more sessions, opportunities to ask questions and give feedback, as well as lunch.

You will be given a booklet of all the notes from the course, as well as a partner form to fill in if you want to commit to CLC further.
