City Life Church Womens Football Team
Where did it start?
Cat had a dream……Natalie got inspired by the dream…..Luke made Natalie look at football boots…..Cat and Natalie had a coffee together…..and the CLC Women’s Football Team was born.
What is it?
A women’s football team.
What happens?
We play football

What’s the vision?
“To explore our God-given potential as women to celebrate life through creating and developing a unique and dynamic football team.”
What are the values?
FUN.
OPPORTUNITY – to make friends and enjoy ourselves.
OPEN HOUSE – everyone female is welcome.
TEAM – to improve our game and develop as a team.
BRA – wear a sports one.
ACTIVITIES – skills, drills and after training curries.
LAUGHTER.
LOVE – one another and the opposition.
4
GIRLS – we’re not boys, we’re not trying to be.
INHIBITIONS – lose them. We play football.
RESIST – the temptation to say sorry after every tackle.
LOOK – at how good we are.
SERPENTINE FIGURINES – our training speciality.
Is there a plan?
We're hoping someone might agree to teach us some skills soon and if all goes well we might even try a match against another team....maybe....one day.
Do I have to be any good?
You have to be at Cat and Natalie’s standard – Cat claims she understands the off-side rule yet had never really kicked a ball in her life (and is, in fact, terrified of one hitting her in the face). Natalie holds the title of City Life FC’s Only Supporter yet still isn’t quite sure what goes on during a match.
No skill, therefore, required.
What is required of me?
Be female.
Turn up.
Adhere to the values. (See above)
You do not have to be part of City Life Church to be part of the team.
What do other people think?
“This is the best thing I could have done with my Thursday evening” Sarah Cashman
