church life

Meet meet meeting

Its time for our monthly get together

Be there of be...somewhere else....
This Sunday 4pm at the Cullens is our monthly full musicians so we look forward to seeing you all! There'll be a bit of worship, a bit of chat, a bit of this a bit of that.....

Hope you are all having a good week. I've been auditioning for the May balls this week and I' m sorry but I can' t help but think about the MONEY involved in these things. I'm all for an occassion once in a while but  where does enjoyment become excess? Would love your thoughts on this.

I am also wondering where we are as a team in honouring God with our money. Obviously we are a church which believes in the principle of tithing so I expect you are all on top of that one. But more than that, do we know how to honour God in all we do with our money. Its not really part of our makeup to give lavishly without the idea of getting back, to commit our money to Him, loving it so lightly that we would be prepared to give it away if He aske-  but as Christians we are called to do this. Full on Christo's like Wigglesworth and Chambers used to pray before every single purchase they made- which makes sense really cos God  knows if there's a better bargain out there! We've started praying if we really need some clothing that the things we like would come on special and let me tell you there have been more than a few hits- the rest I figure we didn' t really need!
So my little ones, can we evaluate this area of our lives this week and whatever God has for you in it can we make sure we are being holy and whole hearted in the area of money.
