church life

onememheader

Do you know how much work goes into running one of our Sunday mornings? Quite apart from the planning, booking, pre-preparation, admin and publicity, there are at least fifteen teams setting up and running each gathering, some of whom arrive from 1:45pm

The people who have been setting up have been doing brilliantly. But here's the thing: it's the same few people helping out every week. The time has come to recruit more volunteers in the church so that a greater number of people can work on the teams less often. To that end, we are having a recruitment drive with the aim that:

Every person in CLC will be on at least one team

That includes you! If everyone signs up, each individual would only have to volunteer once every 5-6 weeks. Many hands make light work. Use the links below to sign up now, play the infamous team selector game, or find out more details about each team.

Just to prove that the welcome team are a welcoming bunch, not to mention 'friendly' and blessed with great 'interpersonal skills'... we're having a welcome team evening this Sunday night!

So if you are interested in being on the welcome team, are on the welcome team, have helped out on the welcome team or just feel like you need a right royal welcome in the church feel free to come round... (but if you can't help out you'd better be coming with an iron clad excuse as to why not!)

21 Arbury Road, 7:30pm this Sunday, Food provided, maybe a film later on? or some general good chill... (Let me know if you're coming/vegetarian/coeliac so I can sort some grub...)

Let's get signing up! If I could make special mention of the PA team, who desperately need new recruits. If you have any experience in this area, and are willing to serve, you can be trained how to use the PA at West Road and help a great deal the few guys shouldering the load at the minute.

"They call us geeks but on another planet we'd be gods" - that's my favourite bit. Fabulous!

I selected "I want people to love and accept me" as my reason for helping, and got told to repent. Oh the gentle pastoralness of the team selector....
