When you see Jesus, you see the Father
Jesus...
Is protective of us.
Is always listening.
always there when we go back to him
stilled of soul
forgiving
irrestistable and really, really kind
is servant-hearted
believes in people even when they mess up
he heals, he gives life.
knows me completely and loves me passionately.
friend
Rests.
is understanding and patient
is the same yesterday, today and forever
He is just.
Jesus is the ultimate reality. Lover of my Soul. He tells me who i am and sets me free. One look in his eyes and it all makes sense.
when i am scared he is my shelter from the storm.
is always guiding us
Jesus does me no harm
Is like totally way cool.
He is everlasting and mighty and glorious
is totally empathic. He weeps with those who weep.
Love and truth. Light.
loves people from all walks of life, all are accepted into the family of Christ
He doesn’t expect us to stand alone, but is always with us.
Probably the only person who ever lived whose character was a blend of utter extremes- he loved and he hated, he was the absolute idealist and the absolute realist, he lived his life to the full and then willingly gave it up...
Truly forgiving.
Bread of Life.
God is Love.
The family gathers around him.
Our prime example of practical holiness
The true lamb
He ALWAYS has time, is never too busy to spend time
Jesus is my inspiration, in knowing Him I learn what a real man should look like, and understand what a real God looks like.
He is my good Shepherd, leading me down good paths
he is everything you need him to be before you even know you need him to be it
humble, but still just
patient
God is our provider for everything we need: healer, comforter, carer, best friend, ... and so much more.

Amazing, strong, gentle.
Real
Incredible, just, forgiving.
He can look right at you, see who you are, what you’ve done, and love you anyway, even at the same time challenging you to live differently now.

| | Mike (Guest) | 30/03/2007, 00:40 | | Without Jesus, our collective humanity would be as driftwood; flailing listlessly against a perpetual onslaught of forces over which we have no control.
A single flicker of divine light, a single pinpoint of hope, shining relentlessly throughout our history, enlightened our world to the prospect of a sacred and astonishing truth; the complexities of which we have barely scratched the surface of, in our attempts to understand, and comprehend the full glory of Christ's message.
Speaking as a weak, and conflicted individual, ridden by a myriad hypocrisies, flaws, narcissistic concerns, and abjectly selfish desires, I begin to realise the extent to which one is truly lost without Christ; when I begin to question the image that returns my troubled gaze in the mirror each day.
A man, alone, has no backbone with which to combat sin; with which to drive out demons, or make fierce, sustained endeavours to improve his behaviour; and his reactions to a testing existence. A man, alone, is destined to fail.
Yet the touch of Jesus, the soothing flood of acceptance and the tranquility of knowing a connection with the lord, is enough to make any man, or woman, utterly fearless in the face of all challenges. The unquenchable fire of Christ's strength, guidance, and mercy, are as fresh water to a starving creature trapped in an arid wasteland.
It is not my place to feign wisdom or knowledge of this awesome power, nor pretend to be in any way capable of truly expressing the sheer euphoria that accompanies the searing moment of realisation that the Lord is listening, and is watching over us, and is striving to guide us at every turn. Nudging us at every trial and pitfall, every moment of weakness that we must suffer as mortals...
Yet I feel it is my place to cry out in thanks, to drop to my knees and weep at the glory of God. For Jesus is so eager for us to listen to him, so vehement in his tireless efforts to bring us closer to him; if we would only heed his call, and allow him into our lives.
I say this as a man who has felt truly lost, and yet has been found by Christ; I say this as a weak, weary, and flawed individual, for whom the patience of Jesus would seem to know no bounds - for whom the leeway shown despite my conflicted nature, seems ever present, and inexhaustible.
I want to share these words, as I feel that Christ has ahold of me by the scruff of my collar, and is absolutely resolute in his determination, that I should not fail him, that I should not fall to the ground alone and capitulate to the pressures of life - and that under absolutely no circumstances will he let go of me, until he has held me up long enough for me to stand beside him.
To have any knowledge of Christ is a blessing, a gift, and one that must be shared with all humanity - For he can remake us in his image, remould us, this he can, and will do -
If we will only let him.
Thanks solely to the grace of Jesus, a man can be steadied by his hand, and shown how to walk; As a toddler begins to take it's first steps one day, seemingly unaided.
To realise this is an elixir we should all drink from, and for anyone who has doubts about their own ability to serve Christ - as I doubt my fickle nature, and the daily sway of my human weaknesses - then I would offer you this thought - Yes we are fallen, yes we must suffer, and yes, there may be times when we appear to be teetering on the brink, of the darkest of life's precipices - the most insipid and gaping crevasse - threatening to swallow us....
Yet we need not fear losing our balance, we need not doubt our ability to stay secure and avoid the catastrophic fall we dread so much. For he is there - amongst us, within us, all around us - protecting us. He is there, holding us back from the edge, watching our every step, quietly guiding us. He does not doubt us, he knows us - he can see into the deepest recesses of our hearts, and he wants us to succeed in his mission; regardless of the part we are assigned to play.
Yet more than anything, should the moment come when we stumble; when we feel ourselves tip into the maw of uncertainty and begin to freefall, we must all come to know...
That he can, and will catch us.
