Small things

In Cambridge small things have big impacts. If you think about the discovery of dna, just a small team in an unassuming laboratory off Benet's street changed history. Saturday night i was walking the pavements of Cambridge praying for you, for the the city and all we're connecting with at the moment. And I was struck by Father speaking something so simple to me; it was this...

'In Cambridge small things have big impact'

There is something so kingdom and subversive about this that I was curious. There was somehow something very Cambridge about it.

Small things can have a massive impact. I thought about the small shared lounges around the small college courtyards, conversations in small groups, an email with a profound encouragement, one word spoken in acceptance, one visit out of my way, one small God idea that germinates in the soul, a perfect note played in just the right moment. Just one person with a dream or vision to see a change. At work, one idea brought to the table, could be the seed for breakthrough in your company. Investing into that one relationship that the Holy Spirit is inspiring you in right now. Pursuing that one small nagging question. Gathering a small group to search out God together.

So this summer, let's not be disparaging towards the small things we get up to! Let's not be fearful of taking care in the small acts, decisions and never completed tasks around the house! Let's take them on.

I see as a church God laying it all out and getting us to see that small things create high impact, well beyond our size or stage. He is asking us not to be afraid or despising of this. The symphony of so many small sounds is going to create an amazing new sound in our city that's going to have a massive impact.

You are a revolutionary for the kingdom!

Faith the size of a mustard seed moves mountains. It's the kingdom conspiracy.  Even our faith!

SO lets dream big dreams and celebrate the small seeds.

Have a fun summer.
