The Parable of the Two Sons Matt 21: 28 Message
"Tell me what you think of this story: A man had two sons. He went up to the first and said, 'Son, go out for the day and work in the vineyard.'"The son answered, 'I don't want to.' Later on he thought better of it and went. "The father gave the same command to the second son. He answered, 'Sure, glad to.' But he never went. "Which of the two sons did what the father asked?" They said, "The first.”
Faith without works is dead Famous passage in the bible (James 2:14-17): “faith without works/deeds/accompanied by no action, is dead”
Faith without works is dead Message James 2: 14-17 Dear friends, do you think you'll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? Isn't it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?
First decision is from faith
Faith = the promise of what is to come Assurance, promise – God given.
Example: John + Bex move… decision of faith, but if didn’t book their tickets there would be no action. For the plan to have life, it needs a decision and action
Key is to take time and consider before making the first decision: small decisions ask God and consider, big decisions pray, ask God, talk to wise people around
