INHABITING
As we drove four thousand miles across Europe this summer I could not help but be struck by the unapologetic magnificence of the increasing numbers of wind-turbines inhabiting the continent’s landscapes. For me, I find them awe-inspiring.
Standing tall there is nothing timid or fragile about their presence. They just ARE! In their silent revolve possessing an elegant grace, comfortable in their own being.

I come back with an invitation.
It’s an invitation and call for us to INHABIT without reticence!
Over three Sunday afternoons, at Parkside 3pm, we shall be looking at:
Inhabiting our son-ship – Sunday 13th: Inhabiting our skins – Sunday 20th Inhabiting the City – Sunday 27th
Joshua 1 describes a nation of slaves on the threshold of their dreams. Would it be possible that they could be free? That they could have a place to belong, to call their own; a space to live and thrive in? It was true, lifting their confidence to believe there really was a promised land for them to inhabit they began an adventure!
We are going to go deeper into the freedom Jesus has awakened for us through the Cross and resurrection. To inhabit – what some have called the final frontier – the real us, our minds, our souls, the part of me that never gets to really show up because of fear, shame, peoples opinions and darn’ it our histories!
You see, there is this divine calling for each of us to: Inhabit who God’s created us to be. Inhabit our very skins Inhabit the territory of a redeemed character and inner life Inhabiting with confidence our personalities Inhabiting the dynamic covenant relationship we have in Christ Inhabit without inhibition the places and futures God is creating us for Inhabit relationship with forgiveness, trust, commitment and loving laughter!
The invitation goes on…to stand tall and to BE to the Maker's Glory!
And what I love about these wind turbines is that produced out of their grace and being is energy to light cities, empower productivity and enable living.
Come on!
Tim.
