August with CLC!
August is an open and fun month when we give all who volunteer on our Sunday meetings a breather . Instead we invite all to enjoy a more flexible style of being together with friends both familiar with the CLC community and those to whom this will be a new circle of friends. Here's the menu...
3rd August – The Summer Blast – Church in the Tent and Family Fun afternoon @ Arbury Town Park.
10th August -
The Orchard, Granchester, 10am - but come when you are ready if this is clearly too early! Hope in the Open: 2.30pm @ Parkers Piece.
15th August – Stoked Worship night at Lyn Briant's, 8pm 17th August - Brunch at Tim and Ania's, 11am
24th August - Grapevine – Day Trip to Lincoln to join some in the church who are pitching up tents at this favourite Summer Festival for the Bank Holiday weekend.
31st August - Picnic at Wandlebury, 12pm
Have you any other ideas or emerging plans you think others would enjoy? Post it below.
We are going to watch the space re the Summer Blast this year and what follow up might look like in August. Will keep you posted.
Cells are also going to continue meeting through out the summer as each designs.
Have fun,

| | Emma Lockton | 20/07/2008, 10:49 | | I seem to remember various people having pictures of people worshipping together on parkers piece (Lingers??) - am I right? If so the "hope in the open" thing is pretty cool!
| | | Katharine Lingwood | 20/07/2008, 18:04 | | I just read your post Emma and thought "no, wasn't me". Then I realised it was me! Only mine was on Jesus Green. It's amazing what you forget..
| | | Marika Rose | 09/08/2008, 22:07 | | The calendar says tomorrow at 11. The article says tomorrow at 10. Which is it, and what happens if it keeps raining? Huh?
| | | Adam Guthrie | 09/08/2008, 22:54 | | I've seen an email saying 11...
| | | Katharine Lingwood | 09/08/2008, 23:23 | | I blame Tim as he wrote the email and the article! I'd aim for 11. If it's still raining then anyone there will get wet! I think the forecast for tomorrow is supposed to be better.
| | | Tim Anderson | 10/08/2008, 08:57 | | It's 11am. Sorry for this discrepancy. See the diary comment for detail.
| | | Kevin Cade | 17/08/2008, 23:55 | | That was a fantastic brunch. Thanks so much Tim and Ania for the great hospitality. You're such good hosts. I know it's work and wanna say on behalf of CLC "Thanks!".
I really enjoyed playing with the little ones and the volleyball. Anyone want to meet up again to play together again? I'm not much for cricket, but I dig volleyball and badminton and will try something else if you're really keen on it. But, I'm back to work. Anyone besides us not going to Grapevine and wanna get together at the weekend?
love, Kevin (and the Cades)
